Working for another shampoo company in the early 90’s, Judy Davis listened and learned what breeders, exhibitors, handlers and groomers were wanting in their grooming products. In 1995, when the company she was working for wasn’t interested in doing anything different, she joined forces with an organic chemist who had a PHD in Organic Chemistry from Cornell University. As they developed shampoo, conditioner and grooming spray  formulas together her request were simple but required a lot of devotion. After so many years in the industry and seeing what didn’t work she wanted: 

• A shampoo that rinsed clean and pure without leaving a residue.
• A conditioner that was an actual moisturizer, not an oil.
• A whitening spray that worked without harmful ingredients.
• A spray that would bring out the best coloring that were naturally in a coat.
• A finishing spray that would add shine and texture to a coat without goopy build-up.

All the sprays would have to leave no build-up or residue and products could be used daily without damaging the coat or skin. After much trail and error they were successfull in accomplishing everything on Judy’s wish list. With the formulas finalized, with what could be considered one of the first organic shampoo, conditioner & spray formulas created, 1st In line was founded in 1996.
