"The Natural Remedy"

Washing Your Horse

To best use our product, we suggest mixing the shampoo in a small bucket. Thoroughly wet your horse with water and apply the shampoo using a washcloth, sponge, or your choice of applicant. Work in the shampoo to clean the surface of the horse. Rinse. Repeat the steps above for the cleaning of the skin while brightening the coat.

Bring the shampoo into a rich lather. Using the lather with a rubber curry, scrub the base of the mane and tail in a circular motion. This will help get rid of excess dandruff. Leave the lather on a few minutes; you will see the lather going away, then rinse thoroughly, your horse will be squeaky clean.

1st Class is designed so that you can wash your horse every day, and it will not dry out or damage your animal’s coat or skin due to the protective ingredients that are included in our shampoo.

Conditioning & Protecting

Satin Conditioner does more than just giving your horse a nice silky feel it is a great protecto for your horse’s coat & skin.

When you leave the conditioner on your horse after washing (just like a leave in conditioner) BLADE OFF THE EXCESS.  It gently puts a protective coat your horse’s hair preventing dirt and other debris from getting into the hair folical.  This helps prevent staining and allows you to easily rinse the dirt off your horse.

Apply the conditioner with a sponge, washcloth, or your choice of applicant. You can leave it on or rinse it off. We recommend for better protection of the coat to leave it on your horse and just blade off the excess conditioner.
Silk can also be used as a spray for the mane and tail, and it is great for braiding. Spray and do not rinse off. The conditioner will act as a barrier, protecting your horse’s coat so debris, urine, dirt and more, will roll off the conditioner and not re-stain the coat.

Artificial Tail Rejuvenation

Bring those flat and tangled tails back to life!  We have been very successful in helping horse owners maintain their horse’s beautiful artificial tails and helping others revitalize tails that have lost their luster.

Wash your horses tail in Class Shampoo.  Get a good lateher up and rinse. Repeat a second time. Add some Silk Conditioner to a small bucket of water and dip in the tail in the bucket. DO NOT RINSE. Let dry.

If your showing and want to add an extra shine and body to the tail, when damp, generouisly spray tail with generously spay

Problem Horse Dandruff

Horse dandruff is an unsightly condition afflicting many horses. This condition can be quite uncomfortable to your horse as the itching drives the horses crazy! Eliminating dandruff can be done easily with, 1st Class Shampoo and 1st Silk Conditioner.

Skin, your horse’s largest organ, is constantly replenishing itself, and in doing so some flaky skin will appear on your horse’s dark shiny coat. Compounding the problem is a tendency in some horses, through nervous or stressful situations, to “shed” additional amounts of surface skin. There may also be “surface scum” which is dirt or residue left from the previous shampoo and conditioner. The end result is horse dandruff.

In a container add approximately 3/4 cup of 1st In Line 1st Class Deep Cleansing Shampoo to 1 gallon of water. Thoroughly wet your horse and wash using a sponge or other means to apply shampoo. Rinse! Repeat the above steps for deep cleaning of the skin while brightening and whitening of the coat by leaving the shampoo on 3 to 5 minutes. You’ll note an increased amount of lather because most of the surface dirt, oil and scum was removed after the first rinse. 1st In Line Products will not dry out or damage your animal’s coat due to the protective ingredients that are included in our shampoo.
But it is show time and you want show clean! “The Tip” When washing your horse, use a Boar Bristle brush, brushing back against the grain of the coat and working the lather down to the skin. This will help loosen and eliminate most flakiness. Our additives including Guar and Chamomile help restore and enhances the coats natural shine while soothing and softening the skin.

Well, time’s a runnin’ late and you’ve got a horse to show!

How To Remove Staining & Yellowing

The following procedure should help remove any yellow tinge or stain and leave your animal’s coat bright and white. This same procedure will also serve to heighten the contrast for colored coats as well.

This tip is based on re applying a fine layer of 1st Silk Conditioner to the horse’s coat to eliminate staining and yellowing. This procedure can also prevent the staining agents, from the environment, from getting through to the animal’s coat.

  1. First bathe your animal with 1st Class shampoo
  2. Dilute the 1st Silk Conditioner 10:1. Apply generously to the areas prone to staining with a sponge. Do not rinse.
  3. Repeat the application of conditioner daily for a minimum of 4 days. For ease of application you may wish to mix the conditioner in a spray bottle so you can apply it easily.
  4. When desired, shampoo your animal thoroughly as described in step 1. The staining elements from the environment will have collected on the conditioner and will rinse off leaving your animal’s coat bright, with a luxurious Silky feel and look!

Whiten & Brighten

1st Snow White Whitening Spray was developed specifically to enhance the true white color of the coat and yet will increase the depth and contrast on two color and multicolored coats without fading the color. This is done without the use of bleach or bluing thus eliminating the fear of drying or damaging the hair.

Used as directed this advanced formula spray will help eliminate yellowing and staining from the animals coat and will restore it to a brilliant natural color.

Thoroughly wash your horse with 1st Class Shampoo—next Use 1st Silk Conditioner.

For the best results for whitening and brightening those trouble areas, we recommend that the horse be damp after bathing. Spray Snow White over the entire horse, focusing on the troubled areas.  Brush it in thoroughly using a downward, upward, and backward motion with a mixed bristle brush; this will ensure that you are not only coating the top of the hair but the bottom throughout the entire coat. This will whiten & brighten without fading the color and get a more uniform appearance.  Let stand (DO NOT rinse out), then air dry.

When spraying onto a dry coat extra care must be taken to feather the spray into the surrounding areas to avoid spotting.

CAUTION: 1st Snow White was designed to enhance the true white color of the coat and should not be used in conjunction with a bluing shampoo.

Foaling Mare

Apply Silk Conditioner liberally through the entire hindquarters, including legs, hocks, and tail. DO NOT RINSE. Apply one to two days before foaling on a clean orse. After delivery, (allow two days) shampoo with Class Shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Shampoo again for additional cleansing and rinse, then reapply conditioner, leaving it on. This will minimize the staining cause from faoling.
